The Calgary Marathi Association (CMA) is proud to represent India in the Calgary Stampede Parade for the 5th consecutive year! Building on the success of our previous parade entries including the Fan Favorite Award in 2024 and a 2nd Prize finish in 2025.
We are excited to unveil our biggest project yet: CMA’s first-ever custom parade float. Featuring the theme “From Himalayas to Rockies,” this unique float will celebrate the cultural connections between India and Canada on one of the world’s largest stages. We invite our community to support this historic milestone through sponsorships, donations, and participation in the Dhol Tasha Pathak and Stampede Parade troupe. Join us as we showcase our heritage, talent, and community spirit at the Calgary Stampede Parade 2026!

Marathi (मराठी) is an Indo-Aryan language spoken by the Marathi people of western and central India. It is the official language of the state of Maharashtra.
With over 90 million fluent speakers worldwide, Marathi ranks as the fourth most spoken native language in India and the fifteenth most spoken language globally. It also boasts one of the oldest literary traditions among modern Indo-Aryan languages, with roots dating back to around 1000 AD.
