Paalavi – Meet and Greet Session
Event Date: 6 th May 2017.
Venue: R5 – Garden Towers, SW, Calgary
Paalavi (Youth) Committee kicked off its first event with an Informative session on “The Art
of Making Money and Planning Future Investments” followed by a Meet and Greet session
of the youths held on May 06 th 2017.
Our guest speaker Wale Balogun delivered a very useful piece of information to our young
crowd about understanding the difference between ‘Short Term Money’, ‘Objective Specific
Money’ and ‘Long Term Money’, imbibing ideas of savings/ plan to save for their higher
studies, outcomes when you fail to set your goals etc. The session was well received by
kids. Lucky draws were drawn and the winners were excited to receive the Hand books on
Investments as prizes.
Wale has extensive knowledge of the markets, investor psychology and risk management
and was awarded the Region Director’s Choice Award. He was recently recognized as one
of Investors Group’s top 10 consultants in Alberta. He also runs free Karate classes once a

Our young Paalavi Committee – Parul Wadodkar and Chinmoy Ayachit organized some fun
games which were thoroughly enjoyed by our young crowd. Lights snacks – pizza, chips
and soft drinks were served by CMA EC 2017 to the youths.
